About
Bhavya Chhabra is a passionate filmmaker and creative professional whose journey in the arts began at
the age of 14. Starting as a freelance graphic designer, Bhavya quickly realised that a creative career was
his true calling. His curiosity about visual storytelling led him to photography, and soon after, he got his
first camera.
In 2016, Bhavya had the opportunity to assist a Swiss filmmaker traveling across India to create short documentaries. This experience sparked his deep interest in filmmaking, and in 2017, he produced &
directed his first documentary, Awake Humanity. That same year, he worked as a photo and video journalist
during the Himachal Pradesh state elections. Following this, Bhavya joined a friend's production house as a videographer and quickly became a partner in the business. He took charge of managing and overseeing
video production, creating everything from weddings and music videos to corporate films and event
coverage. He worked with multiple clients to fulfil their videography needs, helping the business grow
significantly. After three successful years of expanding the company, Bhavya felt it was time for a new
challenge.
In 2022, Bhavya moved to the UK, where he has continued to expand his career. He has worked on a wide
range of projects, taking on roles such as 1st Assistant Director, Director of Photography, and Camera Operator. He has also produced and directed short documentaries such as Unlayered and Dream Life. He’s also had the opportunity to work on behind-the-scenes photography for The Great British Sewing Bee and assist with crowd running for an Amazon MGM production.
Driven by an endless curiosity, Bhavya approaches every project with a desire to discover something new and share that experience through the lens of his camera. He believes in capturing moments that tell stories, evoke emotion, and inspire change.
